Double R's Manatee Tours and Eco-Tours
Double R's Manatee Tours is located at Port of the Islands Resort.
Our two and a half hour manatee viewing and nature tours are the only local eco tours that start in the heart of the Everglades, and are only minutes from the 10,000 Islands and the Gulf of Mexico. You are introduced to the home of South Florida's largest herd of manatees, as you venture out to the 10,000 Islands and the Gulf of Mexico. Viewing the eco system of the Everglades in the comfort of a covered pontoon boat is a true Everglades experience. On any of our eco tours, you're likely to see manatees, alligators, dolphins, and turtles, as well as many species of rare and endangered tropical birds. Some of the tropical birds' species are the Ibis, Egret, Great Blue Heron, Osprey, Pelican, and the American Bald Eagle.
Our manatee viewing and nature tours are fully narrated by knowledgeable local Captains and our pontoon boat is stable, comfortable and USCG approved. You'll learn interesting facts on the manatee, alligator, dolphin, and tropical bird species, along with information on the Everglades.
